What are your points actually worth?
A point has no fixed value. What it is worth depends on the redemption you can book, what the same trip costs in cash, and the fees attached.
The maths
Cents per point, in one line
Divide what you avoided paying in cash by the number of points you spent, then multiply by 100.
The formula
(cash price − fees paid) ÷ points spent × 100 = cents per point.
Use a real price
Compare against the fare you would genuinely have bought, not the most expensive one on the screen.
Subtract the cash
Taxes and surcharges paid on an award are part of its cost and belong in the numerator.

We publish a number only when we can show our work
Copying another publisher's valuations, or inventing our own, would be an unsupported claim. The table below lists the programmes we intend to cover and marks each one honestly until a methodology exists behind it.

We publish a point valuation only once there is a documented, repeatable methodology behind it. Until then we would rather show nothing than a number you cannot check.
